STREAM Integrated Assurance Management Platform
The STREAM Integrated Assurance Management software platform is based on Microsoft’s SQL Server 2005/2008 database management systems.
STREAM is fully scalable from the Single User notebook edition, through to our Enterprise Multiple Concurrent User edition. Your consultants can therefore use all of STREAM’s powerful features to build your assurance, risk and compliance system using a fully mobile version. The STREAM database can then be deployed on your central servers for ongoing maintenance, and access given to multiple users in the variety of supported roles.

Robust & Scalable Real Time Platform
STREAM is an expertly engineered, robust and scalable, real-time platform for integrated risk and compliance management. A wide range for implementation options are available with on-line / off-line working.
Integration of Core Assurance Modules
STREAM genuinely integrates Risk Management, Compliance Management, Events Management and Metrics Management.
For example, weak compliance is reflected in a higher residual risk status and business risk reduces as compliance levels improve.
Security / User Role Based Access Control
STREAM’s security model integrates with your existing Microsoft Windows user permissions, and with Active Directory, and then extends these with its own application level Role Based Access Control (RBAC) model.
Using STREAM’s RBAC User Management module, each user can be provided with an appropriate role and associated Need To Know permissions.
STREAM provides a centralised repository for all of your risk, compliance and metrics data across a broad range of GRC / assurance applications, including information security, business continuity, health and safety, operational, quality, environmental, and project and programme risk.
Profiling
STREAM can be configured with any risk and compliance profile to match existing or desired processes. Standard ‘out of the box’ profiles are available for common standards, such as ISO 27001, BS 25999, PCI DSS and ISF SoGP. Tailored profiles can be quickly and easily created for any publicly available standard or for clients’ own processes and control sets.
Acuity can provide all necessary training, so that STREAM users can develop their own Profiles, or extend Standard Profiles.
Configurability
Almost every item of STREAM is configurable allowing users to tailor STREAM to their precise requirements. This includes the Units of risk measurement, schemes for assessing business impact, threat likelihood and risk reduction.
STREAM also allows a range of control assessment schemes to be defined, with multiple criteria and multiple drop-down selection lists. Control Assessment schemes can then be linked to the relevant control standards or to individual control sections.
Trending
The STREAM platform automatically archives monthly, time-stamped data sets of all your risk, compliance, events and metrics data. This enables superb reporting of risk, compliance, events and metrics history.
It is also possible for STREAM Administrators to explore the data from any historic save point at a later date, e.g. for audit purposes.
Integrated Management Systems
STREAM can address multiple Integrated Management Systems (IMSs) allowing organisations to support risk convergence – a move towards common, consistent processes for handling multiple risk types.
Data Exchange
STREAM has been developed to enable simple data exchange with other Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Microsoft Excel.
STREAM is supplied with a suite of Excel reporting tools which allow administrative users to easily extract risk, compliance and event related data, for further processing and formatting.
These tools also allow questionnaires to be produced easily, for offline data collection and subsequent import into the STREAM database.
Language Independence
The STREAM User Interface is based on a simple language resource file. It is therefore very easy for us to produce additional language variants.
With the Enterprise Edition, STREAM’s SmartClient architecture allows different users to work with their local language version concurrently on a common central database.
