The Information Security Forum, the world’s leading independent membership organisation for Information Security, is an important partner of Acuity Risk Management. The partnership was entered into on 28th April 2009 at the Infosecurity Europe 2009 event and STREAM is designated the first ever ISF Compliant Product.
The partnership brings some important benefits to the 300 organisations that are members of the ISF.
ISF has granted a licence to Acuity to embed its intellectual property into STREAM, namely the ISF’s Standard of Good Practice (SoGP), the ISF’s Benchmarking Questionnaires, the Threat/Incident List and Business Impact Reference Table.
What this means is that users of STREAM will be able to view, control and manage their compliance in real time against the ISF’s Standard of Good Practice, as well as against other dominant standards such as ISO 27001.
Another important benefit is that members of the ISF will also be able to maintain their Benchmark Survey data in STREAM, saving substantial time and cost. Critically, for the first time, organisations that are not yet ISF members can participate in ISF’s Benchmark Service, so gaining insight into their position relative to their peer group.
