News: Support for IAMM Announced
Result: UK Government Departments and Agencies can use STREAM to manage and report compliance with IAMM.
UK Government’s Information Assurance Maturity Model (IAMM) has been created to assist organisational boards to report ongoing improvements in their Information Assurance and Information Risk Management postures.
We are delighted to announce that the latest version of our STREAM assurance management software is now being used by UK Government Departments and Agencies to manage and report compliance with the Information Assurance Maturity Model (IAMM), including that of their Arms Length Bodies.
Benefits include:
- Easy import of the Information Risk Return (IRR) from the Cabinet Office Information Risk Reporting Tool
- Simple allocation of responsibility for assessing the different sections within the IRR, and then tracking of progress centrally
- Simple assessment against Levels 1 to 3 of the IRR, using STREAM's friendly graphical user interface
- Simple to raise improvement actions, with owners and target dates, and then track these centrally
- Easier IAMM reporting through simple export of data from STREAM
- Simple production of Microsoft Excel questionnaires for data gathering from key suppliers and Arm's Length Bodies, which can then be simply imported back into STREAM, including the ability to easily select the applicable clauses for different types of Arms Length Body
- Reporting of own compliance, Arms Length Bodies' compliance and overall compliance
- Up to date IA maturity status information available on demand
- Simple to include and then maintain further guidance to staff on how to interpret the various clauses
- Automatic historic trend reporting, as improvements are made.
Optionally, with STREAM you can also:
- Add metrics to help track control effectiveness
- Link to other Standards and initiatives, e.g. ISO 27001, BS 25 999, DHR, SPF, GSi Code of Connection
- Maintain risk registers across the department, with KRIs identified for each risk
- Measure and report on residual risk levels against defined risk appetites across the department
- Deliver the IS 1 Risk Management requirements for your Information Systems.
