Acuity extends licensing agreement with Information Security Forum
In April 2009 Acuity became the first company to sign an intellectual property licensing agreement with the Information Security Forum. This allowed Acuity to incorporate into STREAM the ISF Standard of Good Practice (SoGP) along with ISF Benchmarking Questionnaires, ISF Threat/Incident List and ISF Business Impact Reference Table (BIRT). In our recent discussions with ISF Members, we found a strong interest in support for the ISF’s Information Risk Analysis Methodology (IRAM) and consequently we are pleased to now announce the extension of Acuity’s license to include IRAM and the supporting Risk Analyst Workbench (RAW).
Support for IRAM and interfaces to RAW have been incorporated into Acuity’s software solution, STREAM Integrated Risk Manager. In addition to managing and reporting compliance against the SoGP and any other control standards, Members will now be able to use STREAM to manage and report on IRAM risks, Enterprise-wide and continue to monitor these risks in real-time.
In its two years on the market STREAM has been adopted by major organizations across multiple business sectors and praised for its handling of three, often conflicting, priorities: support for rigorous risk and compliance processes; ease and speed of deployment and use; and, business focused reporting for senior management.
Designed with ISF members in mind, STREAM supports an end-to-end information security management system providing assurance that risks are being identified, assessed and managed with easy visibility of those risks which exceed management’s tolerance or risk appetite.
